Another summer covering up?
Pigmentation doesn’t fade on its own. It usually gets darker and spreads a little more each summer, and you keep buying foundation to cover it.
~60 hrs
a year spent covering up, at 10 minutes every morning
Dodging the camera
Filters, standing at the back, skipping photos with the people you love.
Looking older than you feel
Uneven tone can make you look older than you are, sometimes more than wrinkles do.
Still reaching for full coverage before the school run, the beach or the barbecue.
SPF, a swipe of lipstick, and out the door bare-faced.

See what the mirror can’t.
The scan shows pigment sitting under the surface, before it shows in the mirror. You’ll see what’s driving yours and what can realistically be done about it.
Every spot is checked first. If anything needs a doctor’s eye, we’ll tell you and refer you before any treatment.
Not another one-off IPL session with no plan, no tracking and no proof.
One visit of about 75 minutes, with a plan based on your own scan.
Reveal
Assessment, imaging scan and baseline photographs, including the damage you can’t see yet.
Release
Your first targeted treatment, in the same visit, to break up and clear excess pigment.
Reset
Your clinician explains what a course would involve for your skin, plus a simple home care plan to help your results last.
Real clients. Clearer, more even skin.
Photographed in clinic and shared with permission.

5 AVAILABLE THIS MONTHQuestions
How long does the first visit take?
About 75 minutes, including your assessment, scan and first treatment.
Is there downtime?
Minimal to none. Occasionally there is slight redness, which typically settles within a few hours. Your practitioner will walk you through what to expect.
What happens after the Even Tone Visit?
If you’d like to continue, your remaining treatments are mapped out for you, with Afterpay available. There’s no obligation.
What if I’m not suitable?
That’s what the Honest Candidate Promise is for. If it’s not right for your skin, we’ll tell you, we won’t go ahead with treatment, and there will be no cost to you, including your $50 deposit, which is refunded in full.
Is one treatment enough?
Not for deeper pigment. One treatment will leave your skin brighter and more even, and for surface pigment that is sometimes enough. Pigment sitting deeper in the skin clears gradually, layer by layer, so it needs a course, and it can return if what’s driving it isn’t addressed. The scan shows us which you have. At your visit we’ll explain whether you need a course, what it involves and why, including our Even Tone Program from $55 per week, and the decision stays with you.
How many treatments will I need?
We can’t give you a real number before we’ve seen your skin. What is causing your pigmentation, how deep it sits, how long it has been there and how intensely it presents all change the number, and so do your skin tone, hormones and sun exposure. Most people need at least three clinical treatments spaced two to four weeks apart alongside home care. What shapes your plan:
- The cause. Melasma, sun damage and post-breakout marks each behave differently.
- The depth. Pigment in the deeper layers takes longer to shift.
- How long it has been there. Longstanding pigmentation needs more time.
- The intensity. Denser pigment usually calls for more sessions.
- Your skin tone. Deeper tones need more conservative settings.
- Hormones and sun exposure. Both can drive pigment back.
Until we can see beneath the surface, any estimate of how many treatments you need is guesswork.
What happens after I book?
You will get a confirmation with the time and address. Come with clean skin if you can, and bring the skincare you currently use. Allow about 75 minutes, and street parking is usually available out the front.
Why is there a $50 deposit?
A $50 deposit confirms your booking. We’re a busy clinic and appointments fill up early, so a time that goes unused at short notice is one we can’t offer to someone else. The deposit helps us keep appointments for the people who need them. If you cancel at least 48 hours before your appointment, your deposit is refunded. If your assessment shows you’re not suitable for treatment, your deposit is refunded in full.
Does it hurt?
Most people find the treatment comfortable. Some notice minimal discomfort, usually described as a warm, tingling sensation. Downtime is minimal to none.
Is anything needed before I come in?
Avoid excessive sun exposure for at least five days beforehand. A pigment inhibitor and daily SPF are essential for this treatment, and your clinician will recommend what suits your skin at the consultation.
Does this work on darker or ethnic skin?
Yes. The laser we use is suitable across the full range of skin tones, and we treat deeper and ethnic skin regularly using settings matched to your tone and pigmentation type.
What makes your laser different?
Chosen for evidence few lasers can match. Terms like “Q-switched” and “picosecond” describe how a laser works, not how well it performs, and very few have the testing to prove they deliver. The laser we use is one of them: it was independently tested and became the first of its kind cleared by the US FDA to improve even melasma, one of the most stubborn forms of pigmentation, across all skin tones. Clearance is only part of it. Treating deeper skin tones well depends on a correct diagnosis and conservative, well-matched settings as much as on the machine, which is why the imaging comes first.
How is this different to Cosmelan?
Cosmelan can be effective, but it is a more intensive protocol and redness, peeling and inflammation are common. In reactive or mark-prone skin, that irritation can worsen pigmentation. Our approach adjusts the laser, peel and home care to your skin as it responds. Which suits you is what the assessment determines.
Why not a Pico laser?
Pico lasers are excellent for certain indications, but not automatically better than a premium Q-switched laser. For pigmentation, and melasma especially, the outcome depends more on diagnosis, protocol and home care than on the device category.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. Afterpay is available online and in clinic.
*Your $50 deposit is refunded if you cancel at least 48 hours before your appointment, and in full if your assessment shows you’re not suitable for treatment.
