Healite is a form of LED therapy but is distinct due to its use of advanced Optical Lens Array Technology (OLAT) that allows for deeper light penetration and enhanced therapeutic effects.
Unlike other LED devices, Healite offers specific wavelengths and modes tailored for various skin concerns, providing a more targeted and potentially more effective treatment than many at-home LED devices.
What does the treatment involve?
Prior to the treatment your skin will be cleansed if the Healite II is not being given following another procedure. Many find the procedure comfortable and relaxing, and you will feel a warm bright light during the treatment.
Each session takes approximately 10 to 20 minutes depending on the selected wavelength of light, treatment indication and intensity of treatment.
Is LED Treatment Safe?
Absolutely! There are no associated risks or downtime with the Healite II treatment.
Does The Treatment Hurt?
No, the treatment doesn't hurt. The sensation is similar to sitting under a warm sun.
How Many Sessions Are Recommended?
The number of treatments needed with the Healite II will depend on the skin condition being treated. In the case of skin recovery (eg. scarring, bruising) after other cosmetic procedures we generally suggest 2 treatments per week during the recovery period.
Other treatments such as skin rejuvenation and acne benefit from just one session per week for a four to six week period. Following the initial treatment phase monthly sessions are recommended to maintain skin health and vitality.
Is There Any Downtime After The Treatment?
Unlike other laser and light based treatments the Healite II LED is not associated with any down time. Most clients find the treatment relaxing, comfortable and rejuvenating with the skin feeling refreshed and brighter after just one treatment.
Can It Be Combined With Other Treatments?
Yes, it can. However, it's crucial to consult with your dermal clinician first before combining any treatments.
